The state is: Georgia

2 years ago, a women admitted to me that she lied about taking birth control and that she only wanted a baby and not me and ended up pregnant. 2 years later she called me wanting child support and just recently filed for a blood test most likely leading up to child support. I haven't seen or heard from her in 2 years. Do I have to pay child support or is this entrapment? I have proof on paper of her admittng to me that shes done this. Also, can I terminate my parental rights?

    • As far as termination of parental rights goes, I hear that you can volunteer to give up parental rights in situations like these and its up to the court to decide from their being that a women used entrapment to get what she wanted and you have proof of her doing so. Is this True?

    • Ever hear of a condom?

You cannot terminate your parental rights. You are the father, so you need to budget your child into your finances. That's what all parents have to do.

Q: Do I have to pay child support or is this entrapment?

A: Yes, sounds like entrapment (naked women are often used to entrap males) and yes, you have to pay child support if it is your kid.

Q: I have proof on paper of her admittng to me that shes done this. Also, can I terminate my parental rights?

A: No, not unless she finds some other sucker to adopt the kid.

Is entrapment against the law? How do you terminate parental rights?

entrapment is something refering to law enforcement officials, she duped you, you fell for it, and NO you CANNOT terminate your rights just because you don't want this kid. If she were married and her husband wanted to adopt YOUR child, then there may be some options in that regard.

    • You need to have a paternity test. And if you're Daddy, you can expect to step up to the plate unless she has a spouse willing to adopt the child. Period. How old are you, anyway?

Dude - everyone is responsible for his/her own protection. Have you heard of std's? Did they teach you in middle school that birth control is not 1 % effective? Did she tie your hands so that you couldn't put a condom on and then force you to have sex with her?

You were perfectly willing to play. Now it's time to pay the piper.
